Ready Set Go??? But What’s for Breakfast

Summer brings fun outings, traveling, and being on the go. In the summer, no one wants to be stuck inside with cooking and dishes to do. Having a quick on-the-go breakfast allows everyone to get out of the house and ready for fun. This will also put an end to buying unhealthy and expensive fast food.

A make-ahead hearty breakfast will make getting out of the house easy.  Three of my favorites are breakfast casserole, French toast casserole, and muffins.  You can grab these out of the refrigerator, microwave, and breakfast is done.

Instead of unhealthy, sugary cereals, make a batch of granola weekly, and your family will have a yummy, light breakfast. Pair this with fresh fruit and/or homemade yogurt will bring a smile to everyone’s face. Making a breakfast burrito is another easy option to put together quickly.  

Always remember, fresh, whole food is best. Not only is this healthy, but it is also fast with very little clean up.   This is the season for fresh fruits, Melons, strawberries, Blueberries, Peaches, and more.  Cut up fresh fruits with any of the above, a breakfast protein, or yogurt, and breakfast is served.

Last but certainly not least, morning coffee to wake you up and get you on your way.  Pass the expensive coffee shops. Make a Cinnamon Roll latte at home, starting the day right with fresh ingredients and money left in your pocket.
